I’m spending Thanksgiving at the in-laws today, but I snuck away from the general festivities just long enough to write a “Happy Thanksgiving Day” post. You’re reading it now.

If I were really blogging today, I might have posted the text of George Washington’s original Thanksgiving Day proclamation, as well as that of George W. Bush’s 2004 proclamation. But I shall be content to link to them instead.
