Ferdinand T. Cat, upset by ever-more-crafty trackback spammers, curses the name of Alan Turing.

The goal of the Turing Test is to create a computer program that appears to converse like a human. This doesn’t make sense to me because you already have several billion people who can converse like a human, so why would you want a machine to do it?

Ouch. That one cut a little close to home.

On balance, I’d say it was an intellectually drafted article. It certainly grabbed my attention at once. Ferdinand has a good knowledge of the subject and makes reading interesting.

But will anyone point out the irony of a cat criticizing the simulation of human writing? I won’t if you won’t.
