Yes, yes, it was a great day for America, with Justice Alito’s confirmation, and President Bush’s outstanding State of the Union address, and Cindy Sheehan’s incarceration. I’m not blogging about those events today, but I’m pretty sure someone is picking up the slack.
What I did tonight was help a fellow homeschooling blogger with her Latin.

The Weekly Standard has a parody of a Google search results page for the phrase “human rights.” Here’s the top search result:
Human Rights Despotipedia–the People’s free encyclopedia!
Human rights is something Americans like to harp on. How about a delicious recipe for bean curd instead? The concept “human rights” is associated with Western imperialist interference, which no one likes, whereas everyone loves bean curd.
The rest are funny too. Read the whole thing.

A new invention by Cranky exposes the American Civil Liberties Union. Move the magnifying glass above the heads of the panelists to read their thoughts, and over the poster on the dais to see their sacred icon. Fortunately, it does not see through clothing.

Michelle Malkin is collecting protest Google logos. So far, she’s posted them here and here. Some of them are really funny (if ‘funny’ is the right word for Google’s shameless betrayal of human rights and liberty).
Well, I’m here to help. This is my submission to Michelle’s gallery…

Gina — the “Mom” in the “Mom Is Right” weblog, and my first groupie — paid us a visit today, along with her husband and kids. They are in the process of moving from Hawaii to Illinois. You can follow their Route 66 adventure on the Ohana Road Trip blog.
Pictured above are Gina’s four children, and our four children, in front of the Gleeson homestead.
I cooked us a big lunch involving pot roast and macaroni. Gina gave our kids a fun game and a cute board book. Thanks!
