Sometimes, bloggers can feel discouraged. They research, they marshal the facts, they rail against the wrongs of the world, and the wrongs just thank them for their time and continue on their way.
Last month an all-star team of 19 bloggers including Mike Krempasky, Kevin Aylward, Glenn Reynolds, Michelle Malkin, and N.Z. Bear spoke with one voice, appealing to the Republican Caucus to tap John Shadegg for the position of Majority Leader. N.Z. called on other bloggers to add their concurring opinions to the comments, and hundreds did.
The Republican Caucus responded to this rare joint declaration by choosing John Boehner instead. Shadegg, the choice of the blogosphere, finished third.
So you see, it can sometimes seem that blogging just isn’t worth the effort. (And to add to the indignity, the last hundred comments on N.Z.’s appeal are from spammers promoting sexual organ enlargement.)
But sometimes things work out differently. Sometimes, the story has a happy ending. Here is such a story.
