The people of Arizona just got themselves the worst war memorial ever. Yes, it’s a thousand times worse than that other one. It’s worse than mediocre, it’s downright impertinent. The damnable thing should be torn up without delay. No memorial at all would be better than having a permanent insult to the American heroes of Sept. 11 sitting there in Phoenix.
UPDATE: The identity of the architect doesn’t surprise me a bit.
