I am posting excerpts from my “Introduction to Blogging” workshop, at the Okie Blogger Round-up on Sept. 23. Nobody shot video, but I combined still images with an edited audio recording to re-create what the Okie blogger attendees enjoyed that day.

This first excerpt is painful to watch, but I’m including it for posterity’s sake. My slideshow presentation got off to a terrible start, when the LCD projector winked out. Thinking quickly, I improvised a demonstration of uncomfortable babbling and stuttering. The next segment of the show, “The History of Blogging,” went much more smoothly. If you want to skip ahead to that bit, I don’t blame you; in fact, I rather wish I could have.

I did a lot of editing to get this down to only three minutes, cutting out all of Dan’s door prize announcements, and Mike giving us directions to the bathrooms and stuff. But you can still hear those redacted segments on Bill Bauer’s unedited recording, if you need to.
